KABLAY Terms of Service

Welcome to KABLAY — an online platform for finding home repair and maintenance specialists in Southwest Washington. By using this site, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. General provisions
KABLAY (hereinafter "the Platform", "the Service", "we") provides an online marketplace where clients can post repair tasks and specialists can respond to them. The Platform is not the employer of any specialist, does not perform any work, and is not a party to any agreement between a client and a specialist.
2. Role of the platform and limitation of liability
The Platform acts solely as an intermediary, providing technical tools for communication between clients and specialists. KABLAY bears no responsibility for the quality, timeliness, safety, or outcome of work performed by specialists. We make efforts to verify specialists (document checks, collecting reviews), but this does not constitute a guarantee of any individual specialist's qualifications, reliability, or integrity. Specialists registered on the platform are independent contractors and are not employees of KABLAY.
3. Transaction safety recommendations
Before work begins, request a written estimate or contract that identifies the scope, price, schedule, permits, warranty, and payment terms. Keep invoices, receipts, messages, and proof of payment in case a dispute arises.
4. Specialist obligations
By registering on the platform as a specialist, you confirm: that the information in your profile is accurate; that you hold the necessary permits and qualifications to perform the stated work in accordance with Washington law; that you undertake to provide clients with service documentation (receipt/invoice); and that you bear full responsibility for the quality and safety of the work performed.
5. Client obligations
By posting a task, the client confirms that the task description is accurate. The client agrees to communicate with specialists in good faith. The client understands that the final terms (price, timeline, scope) are negotiated directly between the client and the specialist.
6. SMS notifications and verification codes
During registration and sign-in we send an SMS with a one-time verification code to the phone number you provide. By pressing "Continue" you consent to these verification messages. We do not use your number for marketing. It is processed by our SMS provider. A client's number may be shown to specialists who unlock contact for that client's task; a specialist's public contact may be shown to visitors of that specialist's profile.
7. Payments and balance (for specialists)
Clients post tasks for free. Specialists browse the description, city, and budget for free. Standard access costs 5 points when a specialist unlocks a task client's phone and WhatsApp; public-profile contact opens use the current rate once per visitor per day. Premium includes both without limits. KABLAY takes no percentage from completed work. Bonus points cannot be withdrawn as cash. Refunds apply in the cases described on the balance page.
8. Intellectual property
All materials, design, and content of the KABLAY platform are our intellectual property. User content (photos, descriptions, reviews) remains the property of users, but by posting it you grant us the right to display it within the service.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute that must be heard in court will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Washington, including Clark County where applicable.
10. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms. We will notify you of material changes via the website or email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
